Standing beside the enlightened street, looking at the crowd so busy,
I try to find myself a friend to share my laughter and pain;
Partying with friends and dancing in the music so noisy,
I still long for a quiet and comfort filled evening, with that dear companion.
Many a times we feel lonely and
not too often does this loneliness give us a feeling of strength or positivity.
It is true that humans are social animals and we live on the concept of
inter-dependency and lack of it shifts our position from the zone of comfort. We
need people around us and we bind with them through various relations, some of
which are made by God and others by us.
In this entire scenario of social
ecosystem, do we often realize that we are somewhere distancing ourselves from
the most relevant network which can work wonders for us. We are infact getting
away from our own selves and from the central processing unit of our existence –
our Mind, our Sub conscious network.
It is very true that
appreciation, acknowledgement, praise and respect makes us happy and reinforces
positivity in us. We are, however, running a race where we forget to use these
tools for ourselves. It is quite rare that we thank the Almighty for what we
have but it is quite frequent that we complain or pray for something that we do
not have. This may either be materialistic or a non-materialistic thing.
If we try to re-collect some bold
moves or most important incidents of our lives, we always say, ‘I decided….’ or
‘I did…..’ etc. We do not have anyone else monitoring our moves or controlling
us, it is our own mental strength and ability that makes us act in a certain
manner. Even when we say that something was done by influence, we know that in
any case if we are the act doer there, we did that thing only when our brain
passed its command to do so.
When we have such a powerful
mechanism to help and guide us, why do we need to look upon at others for help.
We should rather invest our time and effort in training this brain of ours and
growing its potential. Social existence is very important but a prior mandate
for every human is to get an existence within self. We attract what we believe
and we believe in what our minds process. If we can establish a healthy and
fruitful relation with ourselves, we can make our lives much easier. Also as a
strong pillar is base of a strong house; similarly a strong mind is the pillar
of a strong existence.
Choice lies within us – we first
collaborate with our own selves and find our best companion or we seek solace outside
to feel connected!
"We attract what we believe". Such a deep thought to implement into our lives.
